Defining a marriage can be the stuff
of an epic novel, but state republican lawmakers are pushing to
simplify matters in Wisconsin by validating only spousal
arrangements made "between one man and one woman." While
this sounds harmless on the surface, there's more to the proposed
Defense of Marriage Act than meets the ear with a sound bite.

WMCS-AM 1290 station manager has seen talk radio transform from
journalistic news and information services to media dominated by
shock jock entertainers, some who will stoop to racial and ethnic
slurs to be provocative.

County Exec Once Again Puts
Politics Over Policy

Scott Walker is a coward.
Last week County Executive Scott Walker refused to debate County
Supervisor John Weishan who doesn’t agree with him on development
of the land in the Park East corridor. Weishan wants to elevate the
discussion to an honest debate about public policy. Instead, Walker
held a campaign fundraiser to raise funds to make calls into the
districts of Supervisors who don’t goosestep to his agenda.
